Basic Fitness Challenge(s)

I've been thinking recently about fitness goals and what is both realistic and helpful for everyone. And I've arrived at what I think are a couple of good goals for everyone.

The 100 Rep Challenge is a great starting point. It's very simple.

10 Pull-Ups
30 Push-Ups
60 Squats.

You can do this anywhere you have a bar and it's a great challenge for anyone just starting out. It also creates a pretty balanced level of strength. This is great for Men, Women, Teenagers, Older people.

My basic challenge 2.0 (it's pretty close to the Might Man Challenge on the Challenge page of this site):

  • 15 Pull-Ups
  • 50 Push-Ups
  • 5 Pistol Squats (each side)
Both of these challenges are within reach. It just takes work. I would especially set this goal for healthy men, women, and teenagers between 14-40.

What else should we shoot for? Are there basic goals that everyone should target?
