Top 8 Fitness Gear for Your Healthy Lifestyle

A couple of years ago, I read a post about the fitness gear you've got to have. It was nice to have someone cut through all the ads to tell me what I really needed. That website doesn't exist any longer (fitnessspotlight.com was the old site and it redirects you now), so I thought I would do a take off of that old post.


My List
  • Suspension Straps--Jungle Gym, TRX Straps, Vegas Pro Straps, homemade straps (You can throw these over a limb or bar, or hang them from a doorway and get a full-body workout)
  • Jump Rope (These make for a great interval or speed workout. It's also a lot of fun.)
  • Water Bottle (16oz is a great size and having a bottle handy will help you stay hydrated. It also makes you more likely to reach for water and not for a soft drink.)
  • Ball or Frisbee (Play is a big part of healthy living. So grab a soccer ball or frisbee and play.)
  • Sunglasses
  • Snack (Keep some fruit or trail mix handy for snacking so you get to set the terms of what you eat.)
  • Book (Mental health is also part of a healthy lifestyle. So go to the library and pick up something interesting.)
  • Backpack (You can throw everything in this list into the backpack and take it with you wherever you go).
